With doctor shortages worsening nationwide and millions of Canadians lacking access to primary care, we’re working  with Windmill Microlending to help improve healthcare access for all. Our C$5 million donation can help internationally trained physicians get the support they need to restart their careers over the next five years.

  1. Moncton Hospital Foundation, Moncton, NB – $15K
    Support hospital upskilling programs for healthcare providers.
  2. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Foundation, Moncton, NB – $15K
    Support training to enhance nurses’ expertise, leadership, and resilience.
  3. London Health Sciences Foundation, London, ON – $750K
    Support simulation training for adult patients reaching 5,000 healthcare staff across 55 units as well as training on pediatric care in 33 community hospitals reaching more than 1,100 healthcare professionals.
  4. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation, Fredericton, NB – $15K
    Support education and professional development for Cancer Support Program leaders to enhance evidence-based health services.
  5. McGill University Health Centre Foundation, Montreal, QC – $2M
    Provide training for young healthcare providers over the first 5 years of their careers, including simulation to practice techniques, high-stress simulation scenarios, interpersonal skills, building confidence and coping mechanisms.
  6. Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Ottawa, ON – $2.25M
    Support training and wellness programs to provide hands-on, experiential learning, simulation training and resources designed to recruit and retain both new and mid-career healthcare providers.
  7. Oakville Hospital Foundation, Oakville, ON – $250K
    Support the advancement of emergency department nurse education and training.
  8. Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, Westminster, BC – $37.5K
    Help enable high quality training and paid work experience in the mental health field for youth peer support workers.
  9. Health Sciences North Foundation, Sudbury ON – $250K
    Support novice nurse education, combining classroom, simulation and case-based learning, close to 1,700 nurses, including satellite sites, will enroll over three years.
  10. University Health Network Foundation, Toronto, ON – $1.2M
    Development of a professional program for nurses allied healthcare professionals helping to address the need for more skilled nurse
  11. Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation – $20K
    Contribute to the cost of a conference profiling resilient mindsets and global insights for elevating healthcare which the area nurses and healthcare professionals can attend for free.
  12. Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation, Saskatoon, SK – $25K
    Purchase new training mannequins and two venipuncture training arms to allow nurses to practice their skills in transfusion and IV access.
  13. Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation – $58.5K
    Support neonatal and pediatric simulation skills training.
  14. BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Vancouver, BC – $500K
    Upskilling healthcare providers on assessing and treating youth mental health concerns presenting in the emergency room.
